Then, an initial evaluation visit will be scheduled. This visit will be approximately an hour long functional assessment where we will review your health and dental history, discuss concerning symptoms, complete a functional assessment including: observing eating and drinking, evaluating general lip and tongue function, completing a speech screening, taking photos, and answering any questions you might have. Following the evaluation we will discuss recommended treatment. Treatment may include: orofacial myofunctional therapy (OMT), a referral to another provider for adjunct therapy/treatment (i.e. ENT, chiropractor, orthodontist, oral surgeon) or a combination of both. Often treating OMDs requires collaborative care! To make this service more accessible to all, we can often see clients for therapy visits virtually! Will my insurance cover this? We do not accept insurance, but you are welcome to use an HSA card, or pay with cash, card, or check. |
